Younger days

Hi Dave,

It's taken me all these weeks to address your passing. We were great friends wayback  and shared so much. We re-connected at Fr.. Conaty's funeral,a special man, much like yourself. We've  kept in touch through Facebook and shared life and laughter once again. Our laughter in our younger days always included Morcambe and Wise and each Monday night we'd meet up at each others homes to discuss their show and have a bite of supper.  I won't mention my sandwiches 😂. I drove you a few times to wedding venues with your amazing Hasselblad camera your Mam bought you.  I was always nervous when holding it especially  when you told me its what man took to the moon. Where I live now is next to the Armstrong Clan tower and it's 50 years since Neil Armstrong visited his ancestrol home. I think back to our holidays with our toddlers and before kids too, such fun and laughter.

It was always our intention to meet up, but due to covid restrictions that has not been possible. I don't want that reunion to be at your funeral on Wednesday and for that reason I can't come, however I  will celebrate your life by lighting a candle and remembering those words in the song Morcambe and Wise sang "Bring me sunshine, bring me laughter, bring me love😍 The wonderful tributes that have been paid are well deserved and will bring great comfort to your loved ones. God bless, protect and guide you, your family and friends. Heather x
